Meet Priscilla Chan, the woman who could soon be Mrs Mark Zuckerberg

The tech world is buzzing after Bill Gates' loose lips revealed the possible engagement of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and long-term girlfriend Priscilla Chan. A spokesman for Mark Zuckerberg says Gates had his wires crossed, but who is the woman who could become Mrs Facebook?
How love bloomed
Zuckerberg and Chan met in line for the bathroom at a Harvard frat party in 2002.
“He was this nerdy guy who was just a little bit out there,” Chan told the New Yorker.
“I remember he had these beer glasses that said ‘pound include beer dot H.’ It’s a tag for C++.
"It’s like college humour but with a nerdy, computer-science appeal.”
The pair have been officially dating since November 7, 2003, soon after the infamous "Facemash" stunt at Harvard University that almost saw him expelled.
He offers her a job, she offers him a Twizzler
When Zuckerberg left Harvard in 2005 to work on Facebook fulltime, Chan was among the classmates he recruited.
The Harvard Crimson reports the informal deal was sealed with chocolate.
“Hey Priscilla, do you want a job at the Facebook?” Zuckerberg asked her.
“I’d love a job at Facebook,” she responded, offering him a Twizzler.
She no longer works for Facebook and is now studying medicine, specialising in paediatrics.
On her Facebook profile, Chan says she speaks Cantonese, Spanish and English and loves “cooking and soft things”.
She’s a fan of Harry Potter and Pride and Prejudice and her music tastes stretch from bands like Green Day and Red Hot Chili Peppers to Taylor Swift and Britney Spears.
Signed, sealed, delivered
In her book, Once You’re Lucky, Twice You’re Good, Sarah Lacy suggests a key to the couple’s lasting love might be a contract that covers many aspects of their relationship.
One of Chan’s rules demands a strict amount of time from her busy boyfriend: “One date per week, a minimum of a hundred minutes of alone time, not in his apartment, and definitely not at Facebook.”
The couple live in a rented apartment near Facebook headquarters in Palo Alto, California, but will soon move into the five-bedroom luxury home nearby that Zuckerberg bought for $7 million earlier in 2011.
